About the Role The Social.co is looking for a talented and versatile Cinematographer / Video Editor to join our growing creative team.

The ideal candidate should be equally comfortable behind the camera and on the editing desk. From conceptualising and shooting engaging content to editing, colour grading, sound design, and adding motion graphics, we are looking for someone who can take ownership of the entire video production process.

This is a hands-on role suited for someone with a strong visual eye, technical understanding, and a passion for creating engaging digital content.

Key Responsibilities

- Conceptualise, shoot, and edit high-quality video content for social media, digital campaigns, brands, and clients.
- Handle end-to-end video production, from understanding the brief and planning the shoot to final delivery.
- Shoot reels, brand films, product videos, interviews, lifestyle content, event coverage, and other digital content.
- Plan shots, compositions, camera movements, lighting, and overall visual direction.
- Handle cameras, lenses, lighting, audio equipment, and other production gear effectively.
- Edit short-form and long-form video content for Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and other digital platforms.
- Create engaging reels using strong pacing, transitions, storytelling, sound design, and visual effects.
- Add motion graphics, text animations, titles, transitions, and other visual elements to enhance video content.




- Handle colour correction and colour grading to maintain a consistent and qualified visual aesthetic.
- Source, edit, and integrate music, sound effects, voiceovers, and other audio elements appropriately.
- Adapt video content into different formats, aspect ratios, and platform-specific requirements.
- Work closely with social media managers, content strategists, graphic designers, and clients to execute creative concepts.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas for video concepts, campaigns, and content formats.
- Stay updated with current video trends, editing styles, transitions, visual effects, and social media formats.
- Manage multiple projects and ensure all video deliverables are completed within timelines.
- Organise and maintain project files, footage, assets, and final deliverables.

Requirements

- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in cinematography, videography, video editing, or a similar role.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating both cinematography and video editing capabilities.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar editing software.
- Strong knowledge of After Effects and motion graphics.
- Good understanding of cinematography, framing, composition, lighting, camera movement, and storytelling.




- Ability to independently plan and execute video shoots.
- Strong understanding of editing techniques, pacing, transitions, sound design, and colour grading.
- Experience creating short-form content, particularly Instagram Reels and other social-first content.
- Knowledge of basic audio recording and sound design.
- Ability to work with different cameras, lenses, lighting setups, and production equipment.
- Strong visual sense and attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret creative briefs and translate ideas into compelling visual content.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work within tight deadlines.
- Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced creative agency environment.

What We’re Looking For We are looking for someone who can do more than just operate a camera or edit footage.

You should be able to take a concept, understand the story behind it, figure out how it should be shot, execute the shoot, and then turn the footage into a polished final piece.

A strong understanding of cinematography, editing, motion graphics, sound, and visual storytelling is essential.
