Position Summary The Chief HR Head is responsible for leading the hospital's overall human resources strategy, ensuring the organization attracts, develops, and retains a high-performing workforce while fostering a culture of excellence, compliance, and patient-centered care. The role provides strategic leadership across all HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, learning & development, compensation & benefits, industrial relations, statutory compliance, and organizational development.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership
Develop and execute the hospital's HR strategy aligned with organizational goals.
Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO and leadership team on workforce planning and organizational effectiveness.
Drive culture transformation, employee engagement, and change management initiatives.
Establish HR policies and governance frameworks that support sustainable growth.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
Lead recruitment strategies for clinical, nursing, administrative, and support staff.
Ensure timely hiring of key medical professionals and leadership positions.
Develop succession planning and leadership pipeline initiatives.
Build employer branding strategies to attract top healthcare talent.
Performance & Talent Management
Design and implement performance management systems and KPI frameworks.
Lead talent reviews, succession planning, and career development programs.
Develop competency frameworks for all employee categories.
Promote a high-performance culture through continuous feedback and recognition.
Learning & Development
Create learning strategies for clinical and non-clinical employees.
Ensure mandatory healthcare compliance training is completed.
Develop leadership development and management capability programs.
Promote continuous professional development and skill enhancement.
Employee Relations & Engagement
Foster a positive employee experience and healthy workplace culture.
Address employee grievances and resolve workplace conflicts.
Lead engagement surveys and implement improvement initiatives.
Promote diversity, inclusion, employee wellness, and work-life balance.
Compensation & Benefits
Develop competitive compensation structures aligned with market benchmarks.
Oversee salary reviews, incentives, and benefits administration.
Ensure payroll governance and compliance.
Recommend reward and recognition programs to improve retention.
HR Operations & Compliance
Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws, healthcare regulations, and statutory requirements.
Oversee HR audits, documentation, and policy implementation.
Manage employee records, HRMS, and digital HR transformation initiatives.
Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements where applicable.
Industrial Relations
Maintain harmonious industrial relations across hospital operations.
Handle negotiations, disciplinary matters, and legal HR issues.
Liaise with government authorities and regulatory bodies when required.
HR Analytics & Digital Transformation
Develop HR dashboards and workforce analytics.
Monitor HR metrics including attrition, recruitment, productivity, absenteeism, and employee satisfaction.
Drive HR automation and digital transformation initiatives.
Budget & Leadership
Prepare and manage the HR department budget.
Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team.
Collaborate with department heads to address workforce requirements.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Human Resources, Personnel Management, MBA (HR),
or equivalent.
Additional certifications in Strategic HR, Labour Laws, Organizational Development, or Healthcare HR are preferred.
Experience
15+ years of progressive HR experience, (10+Years in hospital ) with significant leadership experience in multi-speciality hospitals or large healthcare organizations.
Proven expertise in strategic HR leadership, talent management, organizational development, and employee relations.
Experience managing large, diverse workforces including doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, and support staff.
