Main work

- Receive, identify, label and properly store food samples.
- Prepare food samples for laboratory analysis.
- Perform chemical testing of food samples according to applicable FSSAI, IS and ISO methods.
- Carry out routine laboratory calculations and record observations/results.
- Operate laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Maintain proper worksheets, registers and test records.
- Follow NABL / ISO 17025 laboratory procedures.
- Perform basic quality-control checks.
- Help with instrument calibration and maintenance.
- Follow laboratory safety, hygiene and Valuable Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Assist senior chemists in method validation and other testing activities.
- Prepare/assist with test reports after completing analysis.
