Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Platform / DevOps Engineer to support and operate XML-driven platforms used for content synchronization and validation. The role focuses on platform reliability, automation, cloud infrastructure, deployment management, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in XML technologies, Linux administration, DevOps practices, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintain XML-based platforms used for content synchronization and validation.
- Automate deployment, configuration, and operational processes.
- Build and maintain Linux-based packaging and deployment pipelines.
- Manage and support cloud infrastructure hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational and platform-level issues in XML processing environments.
- Ensure platform reliability, scalability, performance,
and operational readiness.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and automation solutions to improve system stability.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to enhance platform efficiency and supportability.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with XQuery and XPath.
- Expertise in XML databases such as MarkLogic, BaseX, or eXist-db.
- Positive understanding of XML data modeling, querying, and processing.
- Solid Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience supporting production environments and managing platform operations.
- Ability to work independently and handle operational incidents effectively.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Ansible for automation and configuration management.
- Strong scripting skills using Bash/Shell Scripting.
- Experience creating and managing RPM packages.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Knowledge of DevOps, deployment automation, and infrastructure management.
