About Amicco The automotive spare-parts market in India is massive, fragmented, and complex, with millions of SKUs, fitment challenges, inconsistent availability, and dead inventory.

Amicco is building the up-to-date B2B infrastructure for the automotive aftermarket, helping workshops and garages access standardized parts catalogues, accurate fitment matching, intelligent inventory, and reliable fulfillment.

Job Overview

We are looking for a Category & Vendor Manager who will take end-to-end ownership of automotive spare-parts categories.

The role involves supplier discovery, vendor development, procurement, commercial negotiations, supply management, inventory optimization, and category growth.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working on the ground, meeting suppliers, negotiating deals, and building the supply network from Day 1.

Core Principle: Own the category, not just procurement.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and build categories across OEM, OES, aftermarket, China imports, tyres, batteries, paint, and other automotive parts.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers, distributors, manufacturers, and sourcing partners.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Negotiate pricing, margins, credit terms, MOQ, payment terms, and other commercial terms.
- Develop alternate suppliers and ensure consistent product availability.
- Manage procurement, supply, inventory levels, and working capital.




- Own category performance including GMV, margins, SKU expansion, availability, inventory health, and customer adoption.
- Visit supplier and distributor locations, conduct face-to-face meetings, evaluate capabilities, negotiate commercials, and close deals.
- Work closely with Sales, Operations, Catalog, Inventory, Finance, and Leadership teams.
- Convert procurement into customer demand by improving sell-through, SKU movement, and revenue.
- Proactively identify and resolve supply, vendor, and category-related challenges.
- Take complete ownership of assigned categories and contribute from Day 1.

Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in Supply & Distribution is mandatory.
- Experience in Procurement, Category Management, Vendor Management, or related commercial roles is preferred.
- Automotive / Auto Aftermarket / Spare Parts industry experience is a strong plus.
- Strong understanding of vendor management, supply networks, procurement, pricing, margins, and inventory.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to independently find suppliers, initiate conversations, conduct meetings, negotiate, and close commercial deals.
- Strong analytical,



commercial, and problem-solving skills.
- Highly proactive, hands-on, and comfortable working independently.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment and take ownership from Day 1.
- Passion for automobiles and knowledge of 4-wheeler spare parts will be an added advantage.

Travel Requirement Travel is mandatory for this role.

The candidate should be comfortable with regular local and outstation travel for:

- Supply-network development

This is a field-oriented business role, not a desk-only procurement position. Key Success Metrics The candidate will be responsible for the complete category cycle:
