Cashier – M.B. Ashtekat Jewellers

Job Summary:

The Cashier is responsible for handling customer payments, preparing bills/invoices, maintaining accurate cash records, and supporting day-to-day financial transactions at the jewellery store. The role requires honesty, accuracy, positive customer service, and careful handling of cash and transaction records.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle cash, UPI, debit/credit card and other customer payments.
- Prepare accurate bills, invoices and receipts for jewellery purchases.
- Verify prices, discounts, taxes and payment amounts before completing transactions.
- Maintain daily cash records and reconcile the cash counter at the end of the day.
- Handle returns, exchanges and payment adjustments as per company policies.
- Coordinate with sales staff and management regarding customer billing.
- Maintain proper records of cash, card and digital transactions.
- Ensure all transactions are entered correctly into the billing/accounting system.
- Provide polite and professional service to customers.




- Maintain confidentiality of customer and financial information.
- Assist with basic administrative and accounting work when required.
- Follow store policies and security procedures for handling cash and jewellery-related transactions.

Required Skills
- Good knowledge of basic mathematics and calculations.
- Computer and billing/POS software knowledge.
- Basic knowledge of Tally or accounting software is an advantage.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Honest, responsible and trustworthy.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple transactions.
- Previous cashier or jewellery-store experience is preferred.

Qualification
- 12th pass / Graduate in any discipline.
- Previous experience as a Cashier, Billing Executive, or Accounts Assistant is preferred.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
