We are looking for an experienced Calypso Finance Business Analyst with strong hands-on expertise in the Calypso Accounting Module. The role will focus on understanding business and accounting requirements, translating them into Calypso functional solutions, supporting accounting workflows, and working closely with technology and finance stakeholders across the trade lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Analyse and document business requirements related to Calypso Finance and Accounting. Provide hands-on functional expertise in the Calypso Accounting Module.

Understand and analyse accounting flows generated from Calypso trades and lifecycle events.

Work with Finance, Accounting, Operations, and Technology teams to translate business requirements into Calypso solutions.

Analyse accounting entries, postings, events, and accounting rules within Calypso.

Support configuration, functional testing, UAT, and validation of accounting-related changes.

Analyse and resolve accounting breaks, discrepancies, and reconciliation issues.

Support integration and downstream flows between Calypso and finance/accounting systems.

Prepare functional specifications, process documentation, test scenarios, and business requirements.

Participate in requirement workshops, impact assessments, defect triage, and release activities.

Work closely with Calypso technical/development teams to ensure accurate implementation of finance requirements.

Support production issues and provide functional analysis and root-cause assessment.

Ensure accounting changes are validated across relevant trade lifecycle and end-of-day processes.

Skills





Must have 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in Capital Markets/Financial Technology.

Strong hands-on experience with the Calypso Accounting Module.

Robust understanding of Calypso trade lifecycle and its impact on accounting processes.

Experience analysing accounting events, entries, postings, and accounting rules in Calypso.

Strong Business Analysis skills including requirements gathering, functional specifications, impact analysis, and stakeholder management.

Experience in functional testing/UAT and validation of Calypso finance-related changes.

Ability to investigate accounting breaks and translate business issues into clear functional requirements.

Strong communication skills with the ability to work with both business and technology teams.

Nice to have

Finance/Accounting domain knowledge, including financial accounting concepts and reporting.

Understanding of Capital Markets products and their accounting treatment.

Experience with Calypso EOD/batch processing and reconciliation.

Exposure to Calypso interfaces with downstream Finance, Accounting, GL, or reporting systems.

Knowledge of accounting principles, P&L;, accruals, valuation, settlements, and financial reporting.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum or other structured delivery environments.

Exposure to SQL for data validation and investigation of accounting-related issues.

Experience supporting Calypso upgrades, migrations, or major Finance transformation initiatives.
