Role Description This full-time on-site role is for a CA Fresher & Article Trainee in Statutory Audit, based in Dehradun. The role involves supporting statutory audit engagements, including planning, executing audit procedures, testing controls, and verifying financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting and auditing standards. The professional will assist in preparing working papers and documentation, performing analytical reviews, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and firm policies.
Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with client teams, gathering and validating data, identifying audit issues, and contributing to clear, well-structured audit reports. The role also includes learning and applying firm methodologies, participating in training, and collaborating with senior team members to deliver timely, high-quality audit work.
Qualifications
- Recently Qualified Chartered Accountant or pursuing CA with eligibility to undertake Articleship; strong academic record in accounting, auditing, and finance.
- Solid understanding of accounting standards, auditing standards, and basic knowledge of corporate law related to statutory audits.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; comfort with audit tools and willingness to learn recent technology platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and structured documentation skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and work collaboratively in teams.
- High degree of integrity, professional ethics, and commitment to meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work on-site in Dehradun travel as required for audit assignments, and adapt to varied industry sectors.
- Internship or prior exposure to audit or assurance services is an advantage; familiarity with Big 4 or mid-tier CA firm practices is beneficial.
