The Opportunity

We are looking for a CA Final student to join our team as an Industrial Trainee. This is an prospect to move beyond traditional audit and tax work and gain hands-on exposure to investment management, private markets and financial analysis.

The trainee will work closely with our investment and advisory teams and, depending on the assignment, with portfolio companies and clients. The role will involve a combination of financial analysis, investment research, portfolio monitoring, valuation, investor reporting and transaction-related work.

Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct research on companies, sectors, industries and markets to support investment decisions.
2. Analyse financial statements, business performance and key operating metrics, and develop insights from financial and non-financial information.
3. Assist in preparing investment notes, internal analyses, investment memorandums, pitch decks and presentations for investors and boards.
4. Support valuation exercises, financial modelling and assessment of investment opportunities.
5. Monitor portfolio companies and assist with periodic performance tracking, MIS and investor reporting.
6. Support due diligence, transaction execution,



investment structuring and related documentation.
7. Assist in preparing proposals, engagement documents and other business development materials.
8. Participate in management/client meetings and support meeting preparation, documentation and follow-ups.
9. Assist with statutory, regulatory and other compliance-related requirements associated with investments and portfolio companies.

What We Are Looking For

- CA Final student currently undergoing articleship with a reputed audit or taxation firm.
- Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting fundamentals.
- Basic understanding of investments, valuation and corporate finance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, with an interest in understanding businesses and investment opportunities.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Good spoken and written English with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Curiosity, attention to detail, ownership and willingness to work in a fast-paced, execution-oriented environment.
- Candidates must be based in Mumbai.
