Our LFP battery systems are BIS-certified, compatible with all major inverter brands, backed by a 7-year warranty, and paired with a mobile app that gives homeowners complete control over their energy. We are an early-stage company with an ambitious roadmap — and this role puts you at the front line of how we understand and enter the market.
About the Role
We are looking for a driven, street-smart Field Market Research Executive to be our eyes and ears in the Delhi NCR solar market. You will visit and call solar installers, battery dealers, and distributors across the region — first to build a clear picture of the competitive landscape and pricing dynamics, and then to open doors for Leaf Energy's channel partnerships. This is a field role for someone who enjoys being on the move, meeting people, and turning conversations into insight.
Your research will directly shape our pricing and go-to-market strategy, and the relationships you build will become our sales channel.
Key Responsibilities
- Field Market & Pricing Research
- Visit solar installers, battery dealers, and distributors across Delhi NCR to gather competitive pricing insights on residential battery and inverter-battery systems
- Supplement field visits with outbound calls to cover a wider set of dealers and regions
- Track competitor products, pricing, warranties, dealer margins, and promotional schemes market by market
- Maintain structured, accurate records of all findings in our CRM / research tracker
- Prepare concise weekly summaries of pricing trends and market intelligence for the founding team
Business Development
- Identify, qualify,
and build in-person relationships with solar installers and dealers as potential channel partners
- Introduce Leaf Energy's product line and value proposition to prospective partners
- Schedule follow-up meetings and product demonstrations for the founding team
- Nurture a pipeline of interested installers and dealers ahead of our commercial launch
- Represent the Leaf Energy brand professionally and consistently in every interaction
What We're Looking
- For 3–5 years of experience in field sales, market research, or business development (solar, electrical, batteries, or building materials industry preferred)
- Based in Delhi NCR with willingness to travel extensively within the region; own two-wheeler and valid driving license preferred
- Excellent spoken communication in Hindi and English
- Comfortable walking into dealer shops cold, striking up conversations, and handling objections gracefully
- Strong listening skills and attention to detail — you can extract useful information from a conversation and record it accurately
- Self-motivated and organized; able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Working knowledge of Excel / Google Sheets; CRM experience is a plus
- Genuine interest in renewable energy and India's clean energy transition
