About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with 6+ years of experience in capital markets to join our technology delivery team. You will bring deep domain knowledge across financial instruments, trade lifecycle, and capital markets operations — combined with strong BA skills to elicit, document, and manage requirements across complex technology programmes. You will act as the critical bridge between business stakeholders and technology delivery teams — translating capital markets business needs into clear, actionable user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements

- Lead requirements elicitation and analysis — engaging trading, operations, risk, compliance, and technology stakeholders to define clear functional and non-functional requirements.
- Translate capital markets business needs into well-structured user stories, BRDs, functional specifications, process maps, and acceptance criteria.
- Conduct business process analysis — mapping current-state (AS-IS) and future-state (TO-BE) workflows across capital markets operations.
- Perform gap analysis and impact assessments — identifying functional gaps, process inefficiencies, and delivery risks.
- Define data mapping and transformation logic — documenting field-level mapping rules and validation criteria for capital markets data and system integrations.
- Maintain requirements traceability — managing RTMs to ensure all requirements are addressed through design, testing, and sign-off.

Capital Markets Domain

- Apply deep capital markets domain knowledge — financial instruments (fixed income, FX, derivatives, equities), trade lifecycle, front / middle / back office processes, and market conventions.
- Support regulatory change programmes — MiFID II, EMIR, ASIC, or equivalent — translating regulatory obligations into functional technology requirements.




- Collaborate with trading, operations, risk, finance, and compliance teams — providing domain expertise to guide solution design and delivery decisions.
- Contribute domain knowledge to system integration analysis — defining connectivity requirements between trading platforms, risk systems, and reporting applications.

Stakeholder Management & Delivery

- Engage and manage stakeholders across trading, operations, risk, compliance, and technology — building trusted relationships and managing competing priorities.
- Facilitate requirements workshops, process design sessions, and sprint ceremonies — engaging stakeholders at all levels with clarity and domain authority.
- Support UAT planning and execution — developing test scripts, coordinating business users, managing defects, and obtaining sign-off.
- Contribute to Agile delivery ceremonies — sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives — as an embedded BA in engineering delivery teams.
- Produce clear documentation — functional specifications, data mapping documents, process maps, and UAT sign-off evidence.

What We're Looking For

1. 6+ years of business analysis experience with robust capital markets domain expertise.
2. Deep knowledge of capital markets — financial instruments (fixed income, FX, derivatives, equities), trade lifecycle, and front / middle / back office operations.
3. Strong requirements documentation skills — user stories, BRDs, process maps, data mapping, and acceptance criteria.
4.



Experience with regulatory frameworks — MiFID II, EMIR, ASIC, or equivalent — and their technology implications.
5. Solid SQL skills — data querying and validation for capital markets data analysis and requirements support.
6. Proven stakeholder management — engaging trading, operations, risk, compliance, and technology teams confidently.
7. Strong Agile delivery experience — Jira and Confluence in sprint-based delivery teams.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills — clear, precise BA documentation for technical and business audiences.
9. Good analytical skills — translating complex capital markets requirements into clear, deliverable functional specifications.

Nice to Have

- Exposure to capital markets platforms — Calypso, Murex, Bloomberg, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with trade reporting platforms — DTCC GTR, UnaVista, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of FIX protocol or market data message formats.
- Understanding of regulatory reporting schemas — ESMA EMIR Refit, ASIC RG 251.
- CBAP / CCBA Business Analysis certification.
- Agile certification — CSPO or CSM.
- Experience with data modelling and mapping tools — Visio, Lucidchart, or Miro.
