- Provide technical leadership for frontier technology initiatives. Support design and implementation of CoEs, define technology frameworks and standards, and contribute to TCO assessments for solutions across government departments.

Essential Job Functions:

A. Frontier Technology Frameworks & Use Cases

- Define technology frameworks and reference architectures for AI, Quantum Computing, Blockchain, Cybersecurity, IoT, Data Analytics, etc.
- Identify, evaluate, and design use cases across government departments and priority sectors.
- Conduct requirements elicitation and solution scoping, translating business needs into feasible technical solutions.
- Support PoC-to-scale lifecycle: technology selection, architecture, implementation roadmap.

B. CoE Setup & Technical Direction
- Contribute to the technical design of CoEs, including infrastructure, tools, platforms, and lab environments.
- Define technical standards, coding guidelines, data governance practices, and integration patterns for CoEs.
- Support creation of reusable components, solution blueprints, and playbooks for frontier technologies.
- Assist in onboarding technical partners and vendors; evaluate and recommend solutions and products.

C. Standards, Guidelines & Documentation
- Develop and/or adopt standards and best practices for AI model lifecycle, data security, interoperability, performance and resilience.
- Prepare technical SOPs, implementation guidelines, and checklists for departments adopting frontier technologies.




- Support preparation of concept notes, PPR/DPR, RFPs, technical annexures, and other project documentation.
- Contribute to knowledge repository with technical case studies, architecture documents, and lessons learned.

D. TCO & Technical Feasibility
- Participate in TCO analysis for technology solutions and CoE setups (hardware/software, cloud, network, security, operations).
- Provide inputs on scalability, performance, maintainability, and cost implications of different technology choices.
- Help optimize solution architectures for long-term sustainability and resource efficiency.

E. Monitoring, Evaluation & Support
- Assist in monitoring project progress, performance indicators, milestones, and outcomes for technical initiatives.
- Provide technical support to departments during implementation and rollout.
- Ensure alignment of technical implementation with policy, governance, and ethical use guidelines.
- Any other work assigned as per project requirements.

Qualifications:

Required Experience & Skills

- Minimum 6 years of experience in frontier technologies with hands-on exposure to at least one major domain (e.g., AI/ML, data analytics, cybersecurity, IoT, blockchain, quantum research).
- Robust experience in requirements analysis, solution design, and architecture for technology projects.
- Exposure to setting up or working within CoEs, innovation labs, or specialized R&D; units.




- Practical understanding of standards, frameworks, and TCO considerations for technology solutions.
- Ability to bridge business requirements and technical solutions; strong documentation and communication skills.
