About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Oracle CPQ Business Analyst (Functional) to join our dynamic team at Tata Consultancy Services. This role involves leading and executing complex Quote-to-Cash transformation projects by bridging the gap between business requirements and technical solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Oracle CPQ Cloud capabilities and have a proven track record of successful implementations and transformations.
You will act as a critical liaison between business stakeholders, sales operations, product and pricing teams, IT, and offshore delivery units to ensure that all CPQ-related initiatives align with organizational goals and industry best practices. Your expertise will guide the design, configuration, and deployment of Oracle CPQ solutions, ensuring seamless integration with other enterprise systems and delivering enhanced quoting and order management processes.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10+ years of IT or business consulting experience with a focus on Quote-to-Cash processes.
- At least 2 successful Oracle CPQ Cloud (BigMachines) implementation or transformation projects.
- Strong functional knowledge of Oracle CPQ Cloud features including product configuration, pricing, discounting, quoting, approvals, document generation, renewals, amendments, and order handoff processes.
- Experience in leading requirements workshops, discovery sessions, fit-gap analysis, and process walkthroughs.
- Proficiency in documenting business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
- Knowledge of Quote-to-Cash lifecycle including lead-to-quote, quote-to-order, and contract management processes.
- Ability to work collaboratively with technical teams to translate business needs into functional configurations and customizations.
- Experience supporting integrations with Salesforce, Oracle Sales Cloud, ERP, CRM, and other downstream systems.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
- Willingness to learn and apply knowledge across different CPQ platforms and domains.
Responsibilities
- Act as the functional liaison between business stakeholders, sales, product, and IT teams to gather and analyze requirements for CPQ solutions.
- Lead requirements workshops, discovery sessions, and fit-gap analysis to identify business needs and translate them into technical specifications.
- Document detailed business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria aligned with Oracle CPQ capabilities.
- Design and configure Oracle CPQ product models, rules, pricing strategies, quote layouts, approval workflows, and document templates.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure configurations and customizations meet business requirements and are aligned with best practices.
- Support integration discussions and define data flows between CPQ and other systems such as Salesforce, ERP, and CRM platforms.
- Facilitate business review sessions, obtain sign-offs,
and conduct solution walkthroughs with stakeholders.
- Prepare and support testing activities including SIT, UAT, regression testing, and business validation, ensuring traceability to requirements.
- Assist in user training, super-user enablement, SOP documentation, and post-go-live support to ensure successful adoption.
- Evaluate change requests, assess their impact, and support prioritization and release planning efforts.
- Coordinate with onshore and offshore teams to manage deliverables, resolve clarifications, and ensure timely project completion.
- Conduct demonstrations, presentations, and process walkthroughs for client stakeholders and leadership teams.
