Job Purpose

Responsible for the overall management and performance of an individual branch, including business growth, operational compliance, team supervision, and customer service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

● Achieve branch-level targets for deposits, loans, recovery, and profitability.

● Supervise and guide branch staff including Asst. Branch Manager, Passing Officer, Cashier, Clerk, Sales Officers, and field staff.

● Ensure adherence to operational procedures, cash management norms, and regulatory compliance at the branch.

● Approve/sanction loans and transactions within delegated branch authority; escalate larger proposals to the Credit & Loan department.

● Oversee branch-level customer service standards and resolve escalated customer grievances.

● Monitor branch expenses and ensure cost-effective operations.





● Coordinate with head-office departments (HR, IT, Finance, Compliance) on branch-related matters.

● Conduct periodic staff meetings, performance reviews, and on-the-job training for branch employees.

● Ensure branch audit readiness and timely closure of audit/inspection observations.

Qualifications & Experience

● Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce, Business Administration, or Banking.

● 5-8+ years of banking/co-operative credit society experience, including prior experience in a supervisory role.
