Role Description The Branch Credit Manager is a full time, on-site role based in Singhana. The role involves assessing and approving credit applications, analyzing financial and collateral documents, and ensuring adherence to internal credit policies and regulatory guidelines. The individual will monitor branch credit portfolios, track overdue accounts, and coordinate with collections teams to maintain portfolio quality.
Daily activities include working closely with sales and operations to structure loan proposals, conducting risk assessments, and preparing credit reports and recommendations for management.
The Branch Credit
Manager will also support process improvements, participate in audits,
and contribute to training branch staff on credit processes and risk controls.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Credit Management and Credit skills for evaluating loan proposals and managing branch portfolios.
- Candidates should possess Credit Risk Management and Analytical Skills for assessing borrower risk, interpreting financial data, and making sound credit decisions.
- Candidates should possess Finance-related knowledge for understanding loan products, documentation, and regulatory requirements.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate with sales, operations, and collections teams.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in MS Office and relevant credit management systems for documentation, reporting, and data analysis.
- Relevant experience in retail lending, agri finance, or MSME finance, preferably in a branch credit role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification or professional certification in credit or risk will be an advantage.
- Ability to work with integrity, maintain compliance standards, and manage multiple cases under tight timelines.
