Certification: First Class / Second Class Boiler Attendant Certificate preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor boilers safely and efficiently.
- Maintain required steam pressure, temperature, water level and fuel consumption.
- Monitor boiler parameters and maintain daily operational records.
- Conduct routine inspection of boiler, pumps, valves and associated equipment.
- Handle boiler start-up, shutdown and emergency operations as per SOP.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and coordinate with maintenance teams.
- Ensure proper water treatment and maintain boiler feed-water quality.
- Follow boiler safety procedures, PPE requirements and statutory regulations.
- Maintain logbooks, checklists and operational reports.
- Coordinate with production and maintenance teams for uninterrupted operation.
