BlackLine Implementation Specialist / BlackLine Admin & Support Analyst

Work Location: Bengaluru

Shift: Regular IST Hours

CTC: ₹20–25 LPA (10% Variable)

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced BlackLine Implementation Specialist / BlackLine Administrator & Support Analyst with strong technical and functional expertise in BlackLine solutions, R2R processes, and SAP.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in BlackLine administration, implementation, reconciliation, journal entry processes, and production support , along with a strong understanding of global financial close processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform metadata maintenance and ongoing BlackLine system administration activities.
- Support analysis, control testing, and process-related assessments.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, process documentation, and training materials.
- Diagnose and resolve BlackLine production support issues .
- Create and manage dashboards and reporting related to financial close metrics.
- Support global implementation and phased rollout of BlackLine platform solutions .
- Optimize global close processes by identifying and implementing new BlackLine use cases and functionalities.
- Work with functionalities such as:
- In-transit definitions
- Grouped reconciliations
- Automated journals
- Legal entities
- Checklists
- Other BlackLine automation capabilities
- Review and strengthen governance around the global use of BlackLine, including process standardization, reporting, policies, and platform utilization.
- Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with finance, accounting, technology, and other stakeholders to deliver BlackLine-related initiatives.

Mandatory Qualifications

- 3–5 years of hands-on technical and functional experience with BlackLine solutions.
- Minimum 1 full-lifecycle rollout/implementation experience specifically involving the Reconciliation and Journal Entry modules.




- Experience supporting a global BlackLine implementation and/or performing BlackLine system administration for a large, multinational organization.
- Strong experience with BlackLine modules/functionality such as:
- Account Reconciliations
- Transaction Matching
- Journal Creation
- Task Management
- Variance Analysis
- Intercompany Hub
- Financial Reporting Analytics
- Studio 360
- 1–2 years of hands-on SAP and R2R experience.
- Robust understanding of Record to Report (R2R) processes.
- Expert-level proficiency in MS Excel .
- Knowledge of system integrations between ERP systems, BlackLine, and downstream applications .

Preferred Qualifications

- Hands-on experience with end-to-end R2R processes , including:
- Financial close activities
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Journal voucher postings
- Account reconciliation
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA integration is an added advantage.
- Experience in control testing and financial data analysis.
- Experience in business process re-engineering and project management .
- Strong ability to develop and maintain process, system, and training documentation.
- Experience driving process improvements, eliminating non-value-added activities, and improving operational efficiency.
- Strong understanding of financial controls and governance.
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, presentation, and analytical skills.
- Robust problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
