Role Overview

We are looking for a BIW Repair & Spare Parts Engineer with robust expertise in Body-in-White (BIW) components, joining technologies, CAD, and after-sales repair processes. The role involves defining optimized repair methods for BIW components used in accident repairs and vehicle maintenance, along with defining and documenting the required spare parts.

The position requires close collaboration with BIW R&D;, after-sales, body shop/workshop teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to develop technically feasible, cost-effective, and optimized vehicle repair solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Define and develop BIW repair methods for accident repairs and vehicle maintenance.
- Identify, define, and document spare parts required for BIW repair and related components.
- Develop optimized repair solutions by comparing repair methods with the latest BIW manufacturing and assembly processes used at production plants.
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate BIW panel joining and repair technologies.
- Collaborate closely with BIW R&D; and workshop/body shop teams to establish technically feasible and efficient repair methods.
- Support BIW repair projects related to Spare Parts Information and ensure project deliverables are completed as planned.
- Ensure project KPIs, milestones,



and annual targets are achieved in accordance with agreed objectives.
- Ensure compliance with applicable QMS standards, processes, and documentation requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of repair methodologies, processes, and technical documentation.
- Support Engineering Change Management, release activities, and associated technical documentation.
- Manage and maintain information related to variants, BOMs, and spare parts.
- Provide technical input on manufacturing feasibility, repair techniques, joining technologies, and BIW component design.
- Work with cross-functional teams at MBRDI to evaluate technical feasibility and optimize BIW repair solutions.
- Continuously develop technical and domain competencies in BIW repair, manufacturing, and after-sales processes.
