The Biomedical Engineer will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and safety testing of a wide range of medical equipment used throughout the hospital. This includes diagnostic, therapeutic, and life-support equipment. The successful candidate will work closely with medical staff, technicians, and vendors to ensure the smooth operation of all medical technology.

Responsibilities:

- Equipment Maintenance & Repair: Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on medical equipment, adhering to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Equipment Installation & Calibration: Install, calibrate, and test current medical equipment, ensuring it meets performance requirements and safety regulations.
- Safety Inspections & Testing: Conduct regular safety inspections and testing of medical equipment to ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., Joint Commission, FDA).
- Equipment Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of medical equipment inventory, including maintenance history, performance data, and location.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with medical staff, technicians, and vendors to address equipment issues and provide technical support.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with vendors for equipment repairs, maintenance contracts, and new equipment acquisitions.
- Training & Education:



Provide training to medical staff on the proper use and maintenance of medical equipment.
- Research & Evaluation: Evaluate new medical technologies and make recommendations for equipment purchases and upgrades.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all maintenance, repairs, and inspections performed.
- Compliance: Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to medical equipment management.
- On-Call Availability: Provide on-call support for emergency equipment repairs.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in biomedical equipment maintenance and repair in a hospital setting preferred.
- Solid knowledge of medical equipment operation, maintenance, and repair.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using medical equipment management software.
- Certification in Biomedical Engineering (CBET) is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
