Job Summary

SRL is looking for an experienced Biochemist to join our Quality Control team. The selected candidate will be responsible for the handling, testing, and quality evaluation of enzymes, biochemical products, and cell culture-related materials. The role also involves instrumental analysis, including ICP-OES, maintaining QC documentation, supporting method validation and stability studies, and ensuring compliance with established quality standards and SOPs.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform biochemical and quality analysis of enzymes, biochemicals, cell culture products, raw materials, intermediates, and finished products as per approved specifications and SOPs.
- Handle and maintain enzymes and cell culture materials under appropriate laboratory conditions.
- Perform biochemical assays and other analytical tests to evaluate product quality, purity, activity, and performance.
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments, including ICP-OES, UV-Vis spectrophotometer, pH meter, and other relevant analytical equipment.
- Prepare samples, reagents, standards, and solutions required for biochemical and instrumental analysis.
- Maintain accurate records of analytical results, laboratory observations, test reports, and other QC documentation.
- Ensure compliance with GLP, GMP, ISO guidelines, internal SOPs, and laboratory safety requirements.
- Support method validation, method verification, stability studies, and analytical investigations as required.
- Assist in identifying and investigating out-of-specification (OOS) and atypical analytical results.
- Support internal and external audits by maintaining and providing required QC records and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance, R&D;,



and Production teams for smooth execution of quality-related activities.
- Assist in preparation, review, and updating of SOPs, specifications, test methods, and other QC documents.
- Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and usage of laboratory instruments and equipment.

Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of Biochemistry and biochemical analysis techniques.
- Hands-on experience in enzyme handling, enzyme assays, and cell culture techniques.
- Good working knowledge of ICP-OES and other analytical laboratory instruments.
- Knowledge of sample preparation, analytical methods, and interpretation of test results.
- Understanding of GLP, GMP, ISO, and laboratory safety practices.
- Strong documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Valuable attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate laboratory records.
- Ability to work independently as well as effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Good proficiency in MS Office and laboratory documentation systems.

Qualification & Experience
- Education: M.Sc. / M.Tech. in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- Experience: 4+ years of relevant experience in Biochemistry / Quality Control / Biotechnology / Pharmaceutical / Chemical or related industries.
- Hands-on experience in enzyme handling, cell culture, biochemical testing, and ICP-OES will be preferred.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per hour Expected hours: 51.0 per week
