About the RoleJKR Consulting & Services is looking for a skilled and experienced BIM Electrical Engineer to join our team and work at a client site in Hyderabad.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Electrical BIM Modelling, Revit MEP, Navisworks, AutoCAD, multidisciplinary coordination and clash detection. The candidate will be responsible for developing accurate electrical BIM models and supporting project teams in delivering coordinated, construction-ready BIM documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed 3D Electrical BIM Models using Autodesk Revit MEP.
- Model electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, cable trays, conduits, electrical equipment and related services.
- Prepare and update Electrical Shop Drawings, GFC Drawings, layouts, sections and installation drawings.
- Perform BIM coordination and clash detection using Navisworks.
- Identify, document and support resolution of clashes between Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Structural and Architectural services.
- Coordinate with Architectural, Structural and MEP teams to ensure accurate and constructible models.
- Work as per project BIM standards, BEP, LOD requirements, naming conventions and client specifications.
- Develop models generally at LOD 300/350/400, depending on project requirements.
- Extract quantities, schedules and BOQ-related information from BIM models.
- Incorporate design changes, site inputs and coordination comments into BIM models.
- Prepare and update as-built BIM models and documentation based on site changes/redline markups.
- Participate in BIM coordination meetings and communicate technical issues to project stakeholders.
- Ensure model accuracy, quality, data integrity and timely delivery of assigned BIM deliverables.
- Support the site/project team in resolving BIM-related technical and coordination issues.
- Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in Autodesk Revit MEP – Electrical.
- Working knowledge of Navisworks Manage for clash detection and coordination.
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of Electrical Building Services and MEP coordination.
- Knowledge of Power, Lighting, Cable Tray, Conduit, Earthing and Electrical Equipment modelling.
- Ability to read and understand Electrical layouts, SLDs, schematics, sections and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of LOD, BIM Execution Plan (BEP), model coordination and BIM workflows.
- Ability to prepare construction/shop drawings and BIM documentation.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Educational Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
- Relevant BIM/Revit certification will be an added advantage.
- Experience
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in Electrical BIM / MEP BIM / Revit MEP.
- Candidates with experience in commercial, residential, high-rise, industrial, healthcare, data centre or large-scale building projects will be preferred.
- Experience working in a client-site/project-site environment will be an advantage.
