About The Job:

- We are hiring a Backend Engineer for the L7 BAU team within PR&D.; This is not a typical full-stack role — itis backend-heavy with front-end awareness: the core of the job is production-quality Python and APIengineering, with enough Vue/front-end fluency to own a feature end to end. We are looking for someonewho has built libraries or services other developers depend on, and who understands how modern AI/agentic integrations fit on top.

Qualifications:

Mandatory Skills

- Full-stack experience (backend-leaning) — 5–8 years building production software, with the centre of gravity on the backend.

- Vue.js — Vue 2 SFCs and/or Vue 3 Composition API, with production depth.

- Python (advanced) — Production-quality, idiomatic Python.

- FastAPI — API design and production deployment with Pydantic / OpenAPI.

- SQLAlchemy + PostgreSQL — ORM fluency together with raw database competence.

- Alembic — Migration-driven schema management.

- SDK / API client library development — Has built something other developers depend on.

- REST API design — Versioning, error contracts and backwards compatibility.

- OAuth 2.0 / JWT — Implemented authentication, not just configured it.

- Async Python — asyncio, async FastAPI and async HTTP.

Strong Plus

- AI / MCP platform awareness — Understands agentic integration patterns.

- TypeScript — for current front-end development.

- React or Next.js — secondary front-end capability.

- GraphQL — API design and integration.





- Redis / MongoDB — caching and document-store patterns.

- LangGraph / LangChain / CrewAI — agent orchestration.

- Microsoft Fabric / lakehouse integration patterns.

- GxP or lab-informatics domain experience.
