Role Description The Backend Engineer will design, develop, and maintain server-side applications and APIs that support Acumen Global’s internal systems and client-facing platforms. This full-time, on-site role in Thiruvananthapuram involves implementing secure and scalable backend services, integrating databases, and optimizing application performance.

The engineer will collaborate with front-end developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical solutions, troubleshoot issues,



and improve existing features. Daily responsibilities include writing clean, efficient code, reviewing code for quality, monitoring system reliability, and contributing to technical documentation and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

- Solid skills in Back-End Web Development and general Programming for building and maintaining server-side applications.
- Experience in Software Development and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) for designing scalable, maintainable systems.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Front-End Development teams to ensure seamless integration and consistent user experiences.
- Proficiency with backend frameworks and languages (e.g., Node.js, Java, Python, or similar) and relational/non-relational databases.
- Knowledge of API design (RESTful or similar), security best practices, and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in an on-site, team-oriented environment.
