Job Summary

We are seeking a Backend Developer with strong core fundamentals in JavaScript/TypeScript, backend development, and database management. In this role, you will design and develop RESTful APIs, integrate real-time WebSockets, optimize application performance at both code and server levels, and solve algorithmic problems using basic Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA).

Key Responsibilities l API Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js.

l Database Management: Write optimized queries, design schema, and manage relational databases using MySQL (PostgreSQL knowledge is a plus).

l Real-time Systems: Implement real-time features and bi-directional communication using WebSockets / Socket.io.

l Optimization & Performance:

Perform code-level optimization (memory management, avoiding blocking loops, async execution patterns).

Execute server-level optimization (API response caching, database query indexing,



server load balancing, connection pooling).

System Logic & DSA: Apply entry-level Data Structures and Algorithms to write clean, time/space-efficient code for business logic.

l Collaboration: Partner with frontend developers and QA teams to integrate backend services seamlessly.

Key Requirements & Skills l Core Tech Stack: Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and Express.js.

l Databases: Solid understanding of RDBMS concepts, table structures, and indexing using MySQL. Familiarity with PostgreSQL is an added advantage.

l Real-time Networking: Practical knowledge of building real-time event-driven applications using WebSockets.

l Performance Tuning: Understanding of backend optimization techniques (caching strategies like Redis, database indexing, async/await patterns).

l Computer Science Fundamentals: Entry-level knowledge of Data Structures & Algorithms (Arrays, Hash Maps, Queues, Sorting/Searching algorithms) and time complexity (Big-O analysis).

l API Protocols: Robust grasp of HTTP/HTTPS, REST principles, JSON, and web security basics.

l Version Control: Familiarity with Git/GitHub.

Nice-to-Have Skills l Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, DigitalOcean).

l Knowledge of ORMs (Prisma, Sequelize, or TypeORM).

l Basic understanding of Docker or CI/CD pipelines.
