- Axway MFT Engineer / Specialist (Hands-on Migration)
- Nearshore (Americas time zones) · 8+ years MFT, 5+ years on Axway · Data centre exit & cloud migration program
- Experience: 8+ years MFT, 5+ years on Axway
- A hands-on Axway specialist who migrates managed file transfer estates – building target-state configuration, onboarding trading partners, migrating certificates and executing cutover, then validating end-to-end transfers.

Essential Job Functions:

- Build and configure Axway managed file transfer components in the target-state environment, including transfer flows, routing rules and scheduling.
- Execute migration of Axway configurations, flows and partner definitions to target-state infrastructure.
- Onboard, configure and validate trading partner connections, including protocol and certificate configuration.
- Execute certificate and key migration activities required to re-establish secure transfers in the target state.
- Troubleshoot file transfer failures,



performance issues and connectivity faults arising during migration testing and cutover.
- Validate end-to-end file transfer integrity following migration and cutover events.
- Produce configuration documentation, cutover runbooks and as-built records for handover.
- Support handover to the client run organisation, including knowledge transfer sessions on the migrated estate.

Qualifications:

KEY TECHNOLOGIES & SKILLS

- Axway SecureTransport / CFT / Gateway / Integrator
- SFTP, FTPS, AS2, HTTPS
- Certificate management & PKI
- Trading-partner onboarding
- Shell / Python / Perl scripting
- Axway vendor certification

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Eight or more years of hands-on managed file transfer experience, with at least five years on Axway platforms.
- Practical expertise with Axway products such as SecureTransport, CFT, Gateway or Integrator.
- Strong working knowledge of file transfer protocols: SFTP, FTPS, AS2, HTTPS and associated security controls.
- Demonstrated experience with certificate management, PKI and secure partner onboarding.
- Experience executing MFT platform migrations or upgrades in production environments.
- Scripting capability in Shell, Python or Perl for automation and troubleshooting.

NICE TO HAVE
- Axway vendor certification.
- Experience with Axway Amplify or API management components.
- Exposure to cloud-hosted or containerised MFT deployments.
- Experience with alternative MFT platforms (IBM Sterling, GoAnywhere, MOVEit) for comparative migration work.

IDEAL BACKGROUND




- Hands-on Axway managed file transfer migrations and upgrades in production, including partner onboarding, certificate migration and cutover; comparable MFT platforms (IBM Sterling, GoAnywhere, MOVEit) an asset.

LANGUAGE
- English required (written and spoken). French is an asset.
