Must have skills : Embedded Applications Testing Valuable to have skills : NA Minimum 3 year(s) of experience is required Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education Summary We are seeking a Test Engineer with a Regulatory/Quality emphasis to execute and maintain bench-based validation test cases, with primary responsibility for FMVSS/ECE regulatory compliance test cases and system-level quality/functional test execution. This role is also the primary operator of the continuous smoke test suite, while carrying the core execution baseline shared across the Test Engineer team. Roles &
Responsibilities -Execute defined FMVSS/ECE regulatory compliance test procedures on the bench, with working understanding of the compliance objectives behind each test. -Execute system-level quality/functional test cases across bench domains, supporting cross-domain regression coverage. -Act as primary operator of the continuous smoke test suite — CI-triggered daily execution and pass/fail result reporting — and support regression execution cycles, capturing coverage delta. -Execute manual and automated test cases across all four domains as needed per the sprint execution plan, and maintain test case/script updates against changing requirements. -Support bench setup, configuration, and readiness checks report bench uptime/availability issues. -Log defect findings with sufficient detail (steps, logs,
severity indication) for downstream triage, and update requirements-to-test traceability links in TestRail/Jama under SME direction. -Monitor Jenkins/GitLab CI/CD pipeline status and trigger smoke test runs as part of daily execution. -Contribute to daily execution status reporting and sprint review inputs update Jira tasks and flag blockers. Professional & Technical Skills -5 years of experience in automotive test execution/validation, with working knowledge of FMVSS/ECE regulatory compliance test objectives. -Working knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet) and UDS diagnostics. -Experience with HIL platforms (dSPACE ControlDesk, NI VeriStand) for bench test execution and log capture. -Working knowledge of Jenkins/GitLab CI/CD for monitoring pipeline status and triggering smoke-test runs — the primary CI/CD touchpoint among the three Test Engineers. -Distinct, hands-on toolchain fluency: TestRail (expert-level, for execution/result recording and defect linking), Jira (expert-level, for defect logging and sprint tasks), and Jama Connect (working-knowledge level, for traceability link maintenance). -Ability to read and interpret bench logs/traces to identify failures and anomalies, including regression coverage-delta analysis. -Comfortable working in a 2-week Agile sprint cadence within a globally distributed team.
Additional
Information -Minimum 7 years of experience in Automotive Test Execution / HIL Validation, with regulatory/quality test exposure. -This position is based at our Bengaluru/Pune office (offshore, supporting a US-based onsite counterpart team). -Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Science is required.
