Designation – Associate - Technical Content (HigherEducation)
Work Location – Pune
Work Mode – In-Office
Job Overview -
We are looking for a technically strong, deeply curious Associate - Technical Content Research & Learning to work closely with the creator. This is not a traditional social-media or YouTube-operations role. The primary responsibility is to research technical topics deeply, identify what is worth teaching, and help convert complex engineering concepts into accurate, engaging, and pedagogically sound content.
The role will span three areas: Technical Content Research for YouTube, Content Strategy and Curriculum Planning, and designing the learning journey for learners who move from videos into structured courses on the LMS. The ideal candidate should have excellent hands-on command of DSA, strong software-engineering fundamentals, and the curiosity to independently understand unfamiliar systems and technologies.
Key Responsibilities -
Technical Content Research -
- Research DSA, software engineering, system design, backend, databases, distributed systems, AI engineering, and other relevant technology topics for upcoming videos.
- Go beyond surface-level internet research: read documentation, engineering blogs, papers, codebases, interview discussions, benchmarks, and credible technical sources to build accurate context.
- Break down difficult concepts from first principles and identify the misconceptions, edge cases, examples, analogies, and practical insights that would make a topic genuinely useful to learners.
- Validate technical accuracy of ideas, examples, code snippets, diagrams, and claims before they are used in content.
- Build research briefs for each video containing the core question, audience confusion, key concepts, examples, counter-intuitive insights, references, and recommended teaching flow.
Content Strategy & Ideation -
- Identify high-value topics based on learner problems, interview preparation needs, software-engineering relevance, emerging technology shifts, and gaps in existing educational content.
- Help build weekly and monthly content calendars across DSA, System Design / Software Engineering, and AI Engineering.
- Study strong technology educators, creators,
courses, communities, and content formats to understand what makes technical education clear, engaging, and differentiated.
- Work with the creator to turn research into strong video ideas, hooks, outlines, series, and long-term content pillars without compromising technical depth.
- Use YouTube performance data and learner feedback to identify which topics, explanations, formats, and series should be expanded, changed, or discontinued.
Learning Design & LMS Pedagogy -
- Design the learning journey for students who discover a topic on YouTube and continue learning it on the LMS.
- Convert broad topics into structured modules, lessons, prerequisites, practice exercises, checkpoints, assignments, projects, and revision paths.
- Design pedagogy that moves learners from intuition to understanding to implementation to practice, rather than simply organising a collection of videos.
- Create or review DSA problem sets, examples, coding exercises, concept checks, and assessments aligned with the learning objective of each module.
- Identify where learners are likely to struggle and design scaffolding, hints, worked examples, prerequisite refreshers, and progressive difficulty accordingly.
- Ensure continuity between free YouTube content and deeper LMS learning so that the transition feels natural and valuable.
Collaboration & Execution -
- Work closely with the creator during ideation, research, outlining, and curriculum design.
- Coordinate with video editors, designers, platform teams, or other collaborators when technical context is needed for execution.
- Maintain organised research repositories, source lists, topic backlogs, curriculum documents, and content calendars.
- Stay consistently curious about new engineering ideas, tools, architectures, research, and discussions across the software industry.
What We Are Looking For -
- Excellent hands-on understanding of Data Structures & Algorithms. You should be comfortable solving problems, explaining multiple approaches, analysing time and space complexity, and teaching the reasoning behind a solution.
- Strong computer-science and software-engineering fundamentals. Familiarity with areas such as operating systems, databases, networking, backend engineering, APIs, caching, concurrency, and distributed systems is highly desirable.
- Ability and willingness to learn unfamiliar technical topics independently and go deep enough to explain them accurately.
- Excellent research instincts:
you should know how to distinguish a practical primary source from superficial or recycled content.
- Ability to simplify complex topics without oversimplifying or losing technical correctness.
- Strong written communication and structured thinking. You should be able to turn messy research into a clear learning narrative.
- Genuine interest in teaching and understanding how people learn technical subjects.
- High ownership, intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and comfort working in an environment where ideas are frequently challenged and improved.
Preferred Background -
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent demonstrated technical ability.
- 0-3 years of experience in software engineering, technical education, competitive programming, developer content, curriculum design, or a closely related field.
- Prior experience with LeetCode / interview-style DSA, competitive programming, teaching, mentoring, technical blogging, open-source work, or building software projects will be a strong advantage.
- Experience creating educational content is useful, but deep technical ability and research quality matter more than prior social-media experience.
This Role May Be a Great Fit If -
- You enjoy spending an hour understanding why a system behaves a certain way rather than stopping at the first explanation you find.
- You can solve a DSA problem and are equally interested in explaining the thought process that leads to the solution.
- You routinely ask questions such as “why does this work?”, “when would this fail?”, “what changes at scale?”, and “how would I teach this to someone seeing it for the first time?”.
- You would enjoy helping build not just individual videos, but an entire technology-learning ecosystem around a creator-led channel.
What Success Looks Like -
- Consistently publishes technically accurate, differentiated, and well-researched content.
- Video ideas are driven by real learner problems and strong technical insight rather than generic trend-chasing.
- Learners can move naturally from a YouTube video into a structured LMS path that deepens their understanding and gives them meaningful practice.
- Research, curriculum, and content systems become repeatable enough for to scale without reducing quality.
Why Join Us ?
- Help build a technology education brand from an early stage and directly influence what and how thousands of engineers learn.
- Work across content, engineering, research, and learning design rather than being restricted to a conventional content role.
- Get significant ownership over research, curriculum, and new learning formats.
- Work on topics across DSA, Software Engineering, System Design, and AI Engineering while continuously deepening your own technical understanding.
