Position Summary The School of Computer Applications invites applications for the position of Associate Professor / Professor in BCA and MCA programs. The candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, conducting research, mentoring students, contributing to curriculum development, and supporting the academic and administrative activities of the department.

Key Responsibilities

- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Computer Applications, Computer Science and related areas.
- Develop and deliver research-oriented, industry-relevant courses.
- Establish and lead independent research projects and research collaborations.
- Publish high-quality research papers in Scopus-indexed / Web of Science / reputed peer-reviewed journals.
- Guide PG projects, dissertations and Ph.D. scholars.
- Develop research proposals and contribute to funded research projects, consultancy and industry collaborations.
- Mentor junior faculty and research scholars.
- Build national and international academic/research collaborations.
- Contribute to curriculum development, academic administration and accreditation activities.




- Participate in conferences, workshops, seminars and other scholarly activities.

Research Excellence – DSU Preferred Criteria

- Candidates with the following profile will be strongly preferred:
- Scopus H-index: 6 or above
- Google Scholar H-index: 8 or above
- Strong publication record in Scopus-indexed / Web of Science / reputed peer-reviewed journals.
- Good number of quality research papers with substantial citation impact.
- Experience in research project funding/consultancy / industry-sponsored research.
- Experience in guiding Ph.D. scholars and postgraduate research projects.
- Solid research profile with evidence of research collaborations, patents, books/book chapters, conferences or other scholarly contributions.

Essential Qualifications – UGC/AICTE

- Ph.D. in Computer Applications, Computer Science, Information Technology or a concerned/allied/relevant discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of teaching and/or research experience in an academic/research position equivalent to Assistant Professor, as applicable under prevailing UGC/university norms.
- Demonstrated evidence of quality research publications and scholarly contribution.
- Candidates must satisfy the applicable UGC, AICTE and University norms for appointment as Associate Professor.
