1. Job Summary

The Associate Professor – Pharmacy Practice will be responsible for teaching, academic coordination, clinical training, research, student mentoring, and departmental development in the area of Pharmacy Practice. The candidate is expected to contribute to a strong academic and clinical learning workplace and support the institution in achieving its educational, research, and quality objectives.
1. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Teaching & Academic Responsibilities

- Conduct theory and practical classes related to Pharmacy Practice and allied subjects.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, presentations, assignments, and question papers.
- Deliver effective and student-centred teaching using appropriate pedagogical methods.
- Conduct internal assessments, examinations, evaluations, and provide timely feedback to students.
- Maintain attendance, academic records, lesson plans, and other departmental documentation.
- Participate in curriculum planning, academic scheduling, and departmental activities.
- Guide students in academic projects, seminars, presentations, and case studies.

B. Clinical & Practical Training
- Facilitate clinical exposure and practical learning for students.
- Coordinate with hospitals, healthcare institutions, and clinical departments for student training.
- Supervise students during clinical postings and ensure adherence to professional and institutional protocols.
- Provide guidance in prescription review, medication-related problems, patient counselling, drug information, and clinical case discussions, as applicable.
- Encourage students to develop professional communication and patient-care skills.

C. Research & Publications
- Undertake and promote research activities in Pharmacy Practice and related healthcare areas.
- Guide undergraduate and postgraduate students in research projects.




- Publish research papers in reputed national and international journals.
- Participate in conferences, seminars, workshops, FDPs, and other academic forums.
- Contribute to research proposals, collaborations, grants, and institutional research initiatives.
- Encourage evidence-based learning and research among students and faculty.

D. Student Mentoring & Development
- Mentor and monitor students' academic and professional progress.
- Provide academic guidance and counselling within the scope of the role.
- Support students in developing professional, communication, research, and clinical skills.
- Identify students requiring additional academic support and coordinate appropriate interventions.

E. Departmental Administration
- Support the Principal/HOD in the effective functioning of the department.
- Assist in preparing timetables, workload allocation, academic plans, and departmental schedules.
- Maintain departmental records and documentation required for inspections, accreditation, and statutory compliance.
- Participate in departmental meetings and implement decisions within the assigned responsibilities.
- Coordinate academic activities with other departments when required.
- Support institutional quality initiatives, accreditation activities, and academic audits.

F. Professional Development
- Keep updated with current developments, guidelines, research, and best practices in Pharmacy Practice.
- Attend and contribute to professional development programmes, workshops, conferences, and training programmes.
- Promote ethical, professional, and evidence-based practices among students and faculty.

1. Eligibility & Qualifications





- Master's degree in Pharmacy (M.Pharm) in the relevant specialization, preferably Pharmacy Practice, from a recognized institution.
- Ph.D. in the relevant field will be an added advantage/preferred qualification.
- Minimum experience as prescribed by the applicable regulatory/statutory norms for the position.
- Relevant teaching, clinical, research, and academic administrative experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Pharmacy Practice, clinical pharmacy, pharmacotherapy, patient care, and related healthcare subjects.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
