We are seeking an experienced SAP BASIS Consultant to join Bristlecone India's SAP Modernization – Delivery department.

The Associate

Consultant will be responsible for end‑to‑end technical administration of SAP landscapes, ensuring system stability, optimal performance, and seamless delivery of upgrades and enhancements across multiple environments.

Responsibilities

- Perform day‑to‑day SAP BASIS administration including system start/stop, transport management, and user administration.
- Monitor SAP system health, performance metrics, and proactively resolve alerts.
- Plan, execute, and validate SAP installations, patches, and version upgrades.
- Manage database administration tasks such as backups, restores, and space planning.
- Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning for SAP application and database layers.
- Coordinate with functional teams for change requests, transports, and system landscape changes.
- Implement and maintain security policies, authorizations, and audit compliance.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and documentation for BASIS activities.
- Provide 24/7 on‑call support for critical incidents and participate in disaster recovery drills.
- Assist in SAP modernization initiatives, including migration to cloud or new SAP platforms.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 2–4 years of hands‑on experience in SAP BASIS administration (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of SAP NetWeaver, SAP HANA, and underlying operating systems (Linux/Unix, Windows).
- Experience with SAP transport management, client administration, and system copy procedures.
- Proficiency in performance monitoring tools (ST03, ST06, CCMS) and tuning techniques.
- Understanding of database concepts (Oracle, SQL Server, SAP HANA) and backup/recovery strategies.




- Familiarity with SAP security concepts, roles, and authorizations.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced workplace.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities, with exposure to global delivery models.
- SAP BASIS certification (preferred) or willingness to pursue certification.
