Nature of The Job The role is responsible for the governance, monitoring, and analytics of GEI’s DeskTime usage program, ensuring compliance with approved guidelines and effective exception handling. In addition to DeskTime governance, the role will contribute to the broader Risk, Compliance & Internal Controls function by developing and maintaining data-driven analytics, supporting risk assessments, compliance monitoring, and internal control evaluations. Over time, the incumbent will expand into supporting incident management, risk register maintenance, and control testing activities, thereby contributing to strengthening GEI’s first and second lines of defence.
Job Purpose The role serves as the central custodian of DeskTime governance for GEI, ensuring consistent adherence to policies, timely identification of exceptions, and actionable reporting for leadership. It will also support the development of analytics and reporting frameworks for risk, compliance, and internal controls.
The Associate
Consultant will work cross-functionally to gather, analyse, and present operational and compliance data, enabling informed decision-making and fostering a culture of compliance and control awareness. This position will evolve to take on wider responsibilities in risk management, compliance oversight, and control assurance.

DeskTime Governance & Compliance Oversight
- Administer and monitor GEI’s DeskTime usage governance program across all service lines.
- Track compliance with usage guidelines; identify and address deviations.
- Coordinate awareness, training,
and guidance for stakeholders on DeskTime protocols.
- Maintain governance documentation and manage exception approval workflows.
Risk, Compliance & Control Analytics
- Develop dashboards and reports for risk, compliance, and control performance indicators.
- Track, monitor and enforce corrective actions on any deviations on Deviations on GEI’s Integrated Management System objectives
- Analyse operational data to identify anomalies, trends, and emerging risks.
- Support incident analysis, RCA documentation, and corrective/preventive action tracking.
Process & Documentation Management
- Maintain risk registers, control logs, and relevant SOPs for assigned areas.
- Support periodic compliance reviews and control testing exercises.
- Document and track improvement actions, ensuring timely closure.
- Own the Policy Management framework of GEI to drive standardized way of creation and change management for all controlled policies and procedures, fully aligned to GEI’s Procedure for control of documented information

Business Continuity and Resilience
- Actively collaborate with all functional units on maintenance activities pertaining to GEI’s BCP framework
- Along with the Governance, Risk and Compliance leadership, participate and lead critical activities like Business Impact Analysis, Changes to RTO / RPO parameters and drive stakeholder engagement for the same
- Collaborate and lead functional level Tabletop exercises, simulations and stress testing to build confidence in the BCP and DR’s operational framework and on-the-ground results
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with HR, Operations, and other functions for DeskTime governance and compliance initiatives.
- Present governance and analytics reports to leadership with recommendations.
- Act as a liaison between operational teams and the Risk, Compliance & Internal Controls function.
Desired Profile
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. (Masters Preferred)
- Certifications in data analytics,
risk management, audits, compliance, or process management are an advantage.
- Currently working as a tenured Associate Manager (or equivalent) or a Tenured Manager
Skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and present actionable insights.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI, and data visualization/reporting tools.
- Familiarity with compliance, risk management, or internal controls concepts.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Go-getter and highly trainable and enthusiastic to learn new skills
Relevant
Experience
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience, with 2–4 years of experience in core analytics, operational monitoring, compliance, process governance, or related roles.
- Exposure to time-tracking or productivity monitoring tools preferred.
- Experience in maintaining governance frameworks and process documentation is desirable.
- Excellent collaborator, with ability to manage relationships with senior stakeholders.
