Role Description The Associate will work on a range of corporate and commercial matters, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, transaction documents, legal opinions, and compliance-related documentation. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting legal research, drafting, analyzing statutes and regulations, and assisting with documentation and transaction structuring across practice areas.

The role involves direct client interaction,



supporting senior lawyers in meetings, calls, and negotiations, and managing timelines and deliverables to ensure high-quality, timely work. The Associate will also contribute to internal knowledge-building, assist with preparation of thought leadership content, and support the firm’s business development initiatives where required. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Mumbai

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in corporate and commercial laws, with the ability to interpret and apply statutes, regulations, and case law across practice areas such as banking and finance, VC/PE, M&A;, and funds.
- Proficiency in drafting and reviewing legal documents, including contracts, transaction agreements, opinions, board materials, and compliance policies.
- Advanced legal research and analytical skills, including the ability to synthesize complex information and present transparent, concise findings.
- Effective client-facing skills, including professional communication, stakeholder management, and the ability to understand business contexts and risk profiles.
- Strong organizational and time-management capabilities, with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple matters and deadlines simultaneously.
- Commitment to professional ethics, integrity, confidentiality, and high-quality work product in a rapid-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in law (LL.B) from a recognized institution;
- Enrolment with the Bar Council of India or any state
- 1-2 years of PQE ( 2026 batch graduates may apply)
