Key Responsibilities of a Construction Site Assistant Storekeeper:

A storekeeper plays a key role in ensuring smooth operations across warehouses, construction sites, factories, and logistics hubs.

Here are the main responsibilities of a storekeeper:

1. Inventory Management:

- Maintain accurate stock records (Excel/ERP).
- Regular physical vs system stock reconciliation.
- Perform periodic cycle counts and support audits.

2. Material Handling & Storage:

- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials.
- Tagging, labeling, and protected storage of materials.
- Segregate items by type: Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, etc.

3. Issue & Dispatch:

- Timely issuance of materials against Material Requests
- Prepare gate passes, delivery notes, and dispatch logs.




- Coordinate with site teams and logistics for delivery.

4. Documentation & Reporting:

- Maintain inward/outward registers and bin cards.
- Generate daily/weekly/monthly stock reports.
- Report shortages, damages, or slow-moving items.

5. Safety & Housekeeping:

- Follow safety standards when handling materials.
- Ensure clean, organized, and hazard-free storage areas.
- Use PPE and proper stacking methods.

6. Tools Used to be used:

- MS Excel | ERP | Barcode.

7. Systems Key Skills:

- Inventory Control | Stock Accuracy | Coordination | Time Management | Record Keeping.

Educational Qualification: Graduate from a recognized University.
