Role Description The Assistant Professor will be responsible for delivering lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in their subject area, ensuring that course content aligns with institutional standards and academic regulations. Day-to-day activities include preparing lesson plans, developing teaching materials, assessing student performance through assignments and examinations, and providing academic advising and mentoring. The role involves contributing to curriculum development, participating in departmental meetings, engaging in research or scholarly activities,



and supporting accreditation or quality assurance processes.

The Assistant

Professor is also expected to participate in seminars, workshops, and outreach initiatives that enhance the institute’s academic profile. This is a full-time, on-site role based at the Tumkur campus.

Qualifications

- Postgraduate degree (e.g., Master’s) in a relevant discipline; a Ph.D. or enrollment in a doctoral program is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated teaching aptitude, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and engage a diverse group of learners.
- Experience or interest in academic research, publications, or conference participation in the relevant field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a cooperative approach to working with colleagues, staff, and students.
- Ability to design course materials, utilize educational technologies, and adopt innovative pedagogy.
- Commitment to ethical practices, student welfare, and inclusivity in the classroom and campus environment.
- Prior teaching experience in higher education is an advantage but not strictly required for outstanding early-career candidates.
