Role Description The Assistant Professor of Political Science will be responsible for delivering undergraduate-level lectures, seminars, and tutorials in core areas of Political Science, aligned with the institution’s integrated civil services preparation programs. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and updating course materials, designing assessments, grading student work, and providing academic guidance and mentoring. The role also involves contributing to curriculum development, participating in departmental meetings, engaging in scholarly activities,



and supporting students aiming for competitive examinations such as UPSC and PSC.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru South, requiring regular presence on campus for teaching, student engagement, and institutional activities.

Qualifications

- Robust academic background and applied expertise in Political Science and Comparative Politics.
- Depth of knowledge in Political Philosophy with the ability to connect theory to contemporary issues and civil services preparation.
- Experience in University Teaching, including designing and delivering lectures, seminars, and assessments for undergraduate students.
- Demonstrated ability in Curriculum Development, particularly for integrated degree and competitive exam-oriented programs.
- Postgraduate degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Political Science or a closely related discipline from a recognized university.
- Effective classroom management, student mentoring, and academic advising skills.
- Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in additional regional languages is an advantage.
- Interest or prior experience in coaching or guiding students for civil services and other competitive examinations is highly desirable.
- Commitment to inclusive, learner-centered teaching and ethical academic practices.
