Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible and experienced Assistant Medical Superintendent (AMS) to oversee hospital operations during the night shift, ensuring smooth functioning of clinical and administrative services, patient safety, and coordination among various departments.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Monitor overall hospital operations during the night shift.
Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, emergency, OT, ICU, diagnostics, pharmacy, security, and other departments.
Ensure timely management and escalation of patient-related issues.
Handle patient/attendant complaints and coordinate for prompt resolution.
Monitor emergency cases and ensure appropriate clinical support is available.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, SOPs, and patient-safety protocols.
Conduct regular rounds of critical and high-risk areas.
Address operational issues and escalate major concerns to senior management.
Coordinate with on-call consultants and specialists whenever required.
Monitor staff availability, attendance, and deployment during the shift.
Ensure proper documentation and handover of key events to the day administration team.
Support NABH compliance and maintain quality standards.
Prepare/maintain night-shift reports and incident reports as required.
Preferred Profile
MBBS / MBA Hospital Administration / MHA / equivalent healthcare management qualification.
Prior experience in hospital administration or clinical operations preferred.
Experience in handling hospital night operations will be an advantage.
Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Ability to handle emergencies and make appropriate decisions under pressure.
