Role & responsibilities

- Plan and execute daily/weekly production as per customer requirements and production schedules.

- Monitor injection moulding machines, moulds, auxiliary equipment, and production processes to ensure smooth operation.

- Achieve production targets while maintaining required quality standards and delivery schedules.

- Optimize machine loading, manpower allocation, cycle times, and material consumption.

- Monitor and control rejection, rework, scrap, and process losses.

- Analyze production issues such as short moulding, flash, sink marks, warpage, burn marks, weld lines, dimensional variation, and colour variation.

- Ensure proper setting and optimization of machine parameters such as temperature, pressure, speed, holding pressure, cooling time, and cycle time.

- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Tool Room, Materials, PPC, and Engineering teams to resolve production-related issues.

- Monitor machine breakdowns, mould problems, and process interruptions; coordinate corrective actions to minimize downtime.

- Implement 5S, Kaizen, TPM, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Ensure correct use and traceability of raw materials, colour masterbatch, regrind, and production components.





- Maintain proper production records, shift reports, downtime reports, rejection reports, and other manufacturing documentation.

- Ensure adherence to SOPs, work instructions, control plans, and process parameters.

- Lead and develop operators, technicians, and production supervisors through training, coaching, and performance monitoring.

- Prepare shift-wise manpower plans and ensure adequate staffing for production requirements.

- Ensure compliance with EHS/safety procedures, PPE requirements, machine guarding, and protected operating practices.

- Drive reduction of cycle time, energy consumption, material wastage, and manufacturing costs.

- Ensure proper housekeeping and workplace discipline across the production area.

- Participate in internal/external audits and ensure timely closure of production-related audit findings.

- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly production performance reports and present them to management.

- Ensure smooth shift handover and communication of pending issues, machine status, quality concerns, and production priorities.
