Role Description The Assistant Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based at the Clay by Lingaraj showroom in Bhubaneswar.

The Assistant

Manager supports daily showroom operations, including supervising staff, coordinating customer service, and ensuring that displays and product presentations are maintained to brand standards.

Responsibilities include assisting customers with product selection, managing order processing and follow-ups, monitoring inventory levels, and collaborating with vendors and logistics partners for timely deliveries. The role involves maintaining sales records, preparing basic reports, and supporting promotional activities and in-store events.





The Assistant

Manager works closely with senior management to implement operational improvements, uphold service quality, and contribute to sales growth.

Qualifications

- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills to guide clients through product selection and maintain positive relationships.
- Experience in retail or showroom operations, including basic inventory management, order processing, and workflow coordination.
- Sales and negotiation abilities, with a focus on understanding customer needs and promoting suitable home decor and renovation products.
- Organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail in documentation, reporting, and follow-up activities.
- Basic computer proficiency, including MS Office tools and familiarity with POS or retail management systems.
- Ability to supervise and support team members, foster a collaborative workplace, and handle day-to-day operational issues.
- Understanding of interior decor or building materials (marble, granites, tiles, bath ware, lighting, flooring, modular kitchens) is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, retail management, hospitality, or a related field preferred.
- Willingness to work on-site in Bhubaneswar, including weekends or extended hours as required by showroom operations.
