Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager – Business Development – Air Freight to drive sales and revenue growth for our Air Freight business in the assigned territory.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of relevant experience in Air Freight Sales & Marketing with a reputed Freight Forwarding / Logistics company in India.

The candidate will be responsible for generating new business, acquiring customers, managing sales pipelines, achieving sales and profit targets, handling RFQs and tenders, and building strong customer and industry relationships.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and execute Air Freight sales and business development activities in line with company strategy.
- Identify target customers, market segments, and new business opportunities.
- Generate qualified leads and maintain a healthy Air Freight sales pipeline.
- Develop and acquire new customers for Air Freight services.
- Achieve assigned sales, revenue, routing, freehand, and profitability targets.
- Work closely with the Divisional Head to achieve freehand sales and new customer acquisition targets.
- Handle RFQs, tenders, quotations, and commercial proposals.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, agencies, and trade/industry associations.
- Conduct regular customer meetings and follow up on business opportunities.
- Network with prospective customers and generate business from new and existing accounts.
- Work closely with Air Freight Product and Operations teams to support business development and customer requirements.




- Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for business growth.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth movement of customers' shipments.
- Follow up on shipment movement and ensure customer expectations regarding pickup, transportation, and delivery are met.
- Maintain accurate sales data, pipeline information, forecasts, and business reports.
- Work toward achieving the sales budget and profitability targets assigned by the Divisional Head.

Required Qualifications & Experience :

- Graduate from a reputed institution.
- 3–5 years of experience in Air Freight Sales & Marketing with a reputed Freight Forwarding / Logistics company in India.
- Candidates with direct experience in the Air Freight Division will be preferred.
- Strong experience in new business development and customer acquisition.
- Experience in handling RFQs, tenders, quotations, and commercial negotiations.
- Valuable understanding of Air Freight services, logistics processes, and supply chain operations.
- Post-Graduation / MBA in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or Business Management will be an added advantage.
- Computer savvy with an understanding of current technology and process trends in Logistics / Supply Chain Management.

Pay: ₹700,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
