About The Role The Technical Administrator (MEP) is responsible for managing and maintaining mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems across the facility. This includes ensuring operational efficiency, compliance with safety and environmental standards, vendor coordination, and proactive support for audits and infrastructure projects. The role requires technical expertise, effective vendor management, and a commitment to service excellence and sustainability.

Roles And Responsibilities Will Include

Overseeing MEP Systems Operations and Maintenance

- Ensure smooth functioning of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems including HVAC, UPS, PAC, fire safety systems, and water supply.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to minimise downtime and ensure operational efficiency.

Conducting Regular Rounds and Resolving Observations

- Perform scheduled site inspections to identify issues or irregularities.
- Document observations and ensure timely resolution through coordination with relevant teams or vendors.

Vendor Coordination and Compliance

- Liaise with OEMs and AMC service providers for maintenance and service delivery.
- Follow up for quarterly “No Due” certificates and ensure vendor compliance with SLAs and safety standards.

Monitoring Energy and Water Consumption

- Track utility usage and identify opportunities for cost-saving and sustainability initiatives.
- Implement energy-conservation measures and report performance metrics.

Record Management

- Maintain detailed logs of maintenance activities, equipment specifications, service schedules, and system performance.
- Ensure documentation is audit-ready and aligned with ISO and organisational standards.

Real-Time Incident Reporting

- Report technical incidents immediately to relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure proper documentation and follow-up actions are taken to prevent recurrence.

Liaising with Building Maintenance Teams

- Coordinate with building management for common-area maintenance, lift operations, and shared infrastructure issues.




- Ensure timely resolution of building-related concerns affecting MEP systems.

Supervising and Training Technicians

- Oversee the work of maintenance personnel and technicians.
- Provide training and guidance to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and operational standards.

Problem-Solving and Project Support

- Assist in resolving technical issues and support infrastructure projects.
- Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities), monitor weekend activities, and ensure project deliverables are achieved.

Ergonomics and DSE Training

- Conduct ergonomics and Display Screen Equipment (DSE) training for new employees.
- Promote protected and healthy workplace practices.

Invoice Validation and Processing

- Review and validate MEP-related vendor invoices.
- Ensure accuracy and timely submission for payment processing.

Inventory Management

- Monitor and manage inventory of tools, spare parts, and consumables.

Ensure availability of critical items and maintain stock records. The Assistant Facilities Manager (Technical) will oversee engineering and maintenance activities on site, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery. The role will involve managing the engineering team, coordinating with vendors and contractors, supporting maintenance and projects, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and technical requirements.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, problem-solving, customer service, delegation, and decision-making skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan, design, and oversee the successful execution of projects, along with the regular repair and maintenance of the site.
- Schedule and undertake periodic maintenance of all electrical equipment, components, and installations.
- Provide prompt response to inquiries in the event of a breakdown and resolve issues as quickly as possible.
- Review the team’s work to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with required standards.
- Provide training and oversight on all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements and best practices in technical operations.
- Vendor Management: Ensure value for money is achieved through robust management of service partners and measurement of their performance. Manage vendor relationships, including defining service specifications, contract renewals, and the establishment and monitoring of KPIs and SLAs.
- Financial Management: Prepare and manage technical operating and project budgets and reports. Create BOQs for projects and repair and maintenance works, ensure purchase orders are raised and validated, and approve invoices in accordance with the client’s accounting classifications.



Conduct cost analysis and maintain expenditure control.
- Networking: Keep abreast of industry best practices by maintaining contact with peers within the transport sector and other relevant market sectors.
- Strategic and Technical Support: Coach and mentor the team on best practices. Plan and execute strategies to ensure projects are completed on time and to the required standards.
- Coordination: Coordinate with OEMs regarding the maintenance of critical equipment.
- Meet regularly with business units to resolve issues, understand their requirements, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Adopt a proactive approach and remain flexible and responsive to ad hoc requests as they arise.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for technical operations.
- Continually support and promote a collaborative team-working approach.
- Interact with vendor supervisors on day-to-day operational issues and ensure all employee concerns are appropriately addressed.
- Provide clear and concise instructions to engineering teams
- Train new engineers and participate in the evaluation of candidates based on both technical and interpersonal competencies.
- Directly supervise direct reports and the technical team.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Macro’s policies and applicable labour laws.
- Develop SOPs and carry out risk assessments and method statements for relevant works.
- Be responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training employees
- Be responsible for planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; and rewarding and disciplining employees in accordance with company policies and applicable labour laws.

About You The ideal candidate will have:

- Senior-level Facilities Management experience.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong people management skills.
- Experience in a customer-facing role.
- A flexible approach and a positive attitude.
- Ideally, awareness of the city, seat occupancy methodology, fleet requirements and related calculations.
- Educated to a higher level, ideally with a B.Tech or postgraduate qualification in Electrical Engineering.
- Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of applications and Oracle.
