– Assistant Engineer

Position Details

- Experience: 4-5 Years
- Qualification: B.E. Civil / Diploma in Civil Engineering
- Salary: ₹35,000 Gross/month (based on experience & ability)
- Location: Chennai
- Notice Period: 15–30 Days
- Working Hours: 8:30 AM–6:30 PM; flexible for night shifts as required

Requirements

1. Experience in residential and small to mid-sized commercial building construction projects.

- Experience with a Civil Contractor or Architect's office is preferred.
- Candidates with only Infrastructure/Industrial project experience will not be considered.
- Must own a two-wheeler for site visits.




- Basic knowledge of quantity take-offs from AutoCAD drawings and labour billing.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Resume must include complete project details (project type, name, size, role, etc.).
- Stable employment history with no frequent job changes.
- Added advantage: Experience in interior finishing works (tiling, flooring, painting, marble) and/or architect's office experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Execute and supervise assigned site activities as per Project Head's instructions. Check safety, cleanliness, hygiene, material abuse and access.
- Monitor Labor Attendance and Coordinate and Follow up with procurement team, vendors, subcontractors, consultants, and labour to ensure timely availability of materials, smooth execution, and completion of work as per schedule.
- Monitoring and ensuring quality of work as per methodology, drawings and specifications
- Raise and track indents, quantification, reconciliations, and Vendor Quotes
- Ensure proper testing, curing, quality records, and documentation as per project requirements.
- Prepare and submit Daily progress reports to project head.
- Verify contractor/supplier bills and submit them for approval.
