Role Overview

We are seeking a result-oriented Assistant Manager – Collections to oversee collection operations and lead our recovery teams toward consistently achieving monthly targets. In this role, you will be responsible for driving team performance, optimizing portfolio management, maintaining high productivity and quality standards, and ensuring strict adherence to internal policies and regulatory compliance guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

- Team Leadership &
- Management:

Supervise, mentor, and track the daily performance, productivity, and attendance of Collection Executives and Team Leaders. Conduct regular coaching sessions and implement performance improvement plans for underperforming team members.

- Portfolio &

- Target Execution:

Drive daily, weekly, and monthly recovery targets. Track portfolio health across various DPD (Days Past Due) buckets, monitoring metrics such as collection efficiency, promise-to-pay (PTP) conversion, bounce rates, and roll-backs.

- Operations &

- Field Supervision:

Oversee tele-calling and field collection activities based on business needs. Ensure equitable allocation and systematic follow-up of collection accounts.

- Escalation &

- Stakeholder Coordination:

Directly handle customer escalations and assist the team with complex recovery cases. Collaborate with Cross-functional teams—including Operations, Risk, Credit, and Customer Support—to streamline processes.

- Reporting &

- Strategy:

Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly MIS and performance reports.



Analyze collection data to identify trends, mitigate delinquency risks, and assist the Collection Manager in executing recovery strategies.

- Compliance &

- Ethics:

Guarantee strict compliance with organizational guidelines, RBI regulations, and fair practices code during all collection interactions.

Required Skills &

- Qualifications

- Industry Expertise: Robust knowledge of loan collection/recovery processes, DPD tracking, and collection bucket dynamics.

- Leadership: Proven ability to manage, motivate, and guide high-performing collection teams under pressure.

- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis for MIS reporting and performance tracking.

- Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation, communication, conflict-resolution, and escalation-management abilities.

Preferred Experience

- Prior experience in Banking, NBFC, or FinTech sectors handling retail lending portfolios (e.g., Personal Loans, Business Loans, Credit Cards, or Vehicle Loans).

- Background in Tele-Collections roles.

Pay: ₹450,000.00 - ₹650,000.00 per year
