Job Summary

Rockwoods International School, Jangaon, is looking for a qualified and enthusiastic Computer Teacher to teach computer science and digital skills to students and conduct practical sessions in the computer laboratory.

The candidate should be comfortable teaching both theoretical concepts and hands-on computer applications and should be able to make technology learning engaging and age-appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver Computer Science / Information Technology lessons according to the school's curriculum.
- Teach computer fundamentals, MS Office, internet and digital literacy, programming and other age-appropriate computer concepts.
- Conduct practical sessions in the computer laboratory.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, projects and practical activities.
- Explain programming and computational concepts using simple and engaging methods.
- Evaluate students through tests, assignments, projects and practical activities.
- Maintain student performance and assessment records.
- Encourage students to participate in computer-related projects, competitions and technology activities.
- Introduce students to responsible and safe use of technology and the internet.
- Ensure proper use and handling of computers, peripherals and other laboratory equipment.
- Coordinate with the school management regarding computer lab requirements and technical issues.
- Maintain discipline and safety during computer lab sessions.
- Support digital learning initiatives and technology-based academic activities.
- Participate in school events, meetings, training programmes and academic planning.
- Maintain professional communication with students, parents and colleagues.
- Follow school policies,



discipline standards and child-safety guidelines.

Educational Qualification
- BCA / B.Sc. Computer Science / B.Sc. IT / B.Tech. Computer Science / MCA / M.Sc. Computer Science / IT or equivalent.
- B.Ed. with Computer Science is preferred for school teaching roles.
- Relevant teaching certification will be an added advantage.

Experience
- Fresher with Relevant Background/Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a reputed school preferred.
- Experience teaching CBSE curriculum will be an advantage.
- Freshers with excellent subject knowledge and communication skills may also be considered.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Computer Science and IT concepts.
- Good practical knowledge of computers and computer laboratory operations.
- Knowledge of programming fundamentals is preferred.
- Good classroom management skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts in a simple manner.
- Ability to create engaging practical activities and projects.
- Student-friendly and technology-oriented approach.

Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++,Python, Scratch or other school-level programming platforms.
- Basic knowledge of HTML/web development.
- Knowledge of robotics, coding, AI or STEM activities will be an added advantage.
- Ability to integrate technology into classroom teaching.
