Job Summary

Rockwoods International School, Jangaon, is looking for a creative, passionate and student-focused Art Teacher who can inspire students to explore their creativity through drawing, painting, craft and other visual art forms.

The candidate should be capable of planning engaging, age-appropriate art activities and encouraging students to express themselves confidently through art.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging Art & Craft classes for students across different grade levels.
- Teach drawing, sketching, painting, colouring, craft and other appropriate visual-art techniques.
- Encourage creativity, imagination and individual artistic expression among students.
- Prepare lesson plans, activities, projects and practical assignments.
- Organize art displays, exhibitions, competitions and school events.
- Guide students in preparing artwork for annual day, celebrations, exhibitions and other school activities.
- Maintain and manage art materials, equipment and classroom resources.
- Ensure proper use, storage and maintenance of art supplies.
- Assess students' creative work and provide constructive feedback.
- Identify students with strong artistic abilities and encourage them to participate in competitions and exhibitions.
- Integrate art activities with academic subjects wherever appropriate.
- Maintain a safe, clean and well-organized art classroom.




- Participate in school meetings, training programmes and other academic activities.
- Maintain professional communication with students, parents and colleagues.
- Follow school policies, discipline standards and child-safety guidelines.

Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's / Master's degree in Fine Arts (BFA/MFA) preferred.
- Candidates with relevant Art & Craft qualifications or certifications may also be considered.
- B.Ed. is an added advantage.

Experience
- Minimum 1 year of teaching experience in a reputed school preferred.
- Freshers with strong artistic skills and relevant qualifications may also be considered.

- Strong drawing, painting and craft skills.
- Good classroom management abilities.
- Creative and creative approach to teaching.
- Ability to work with students of different age groups.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to organize exhibitions, competitions and art-related school activities.
