Role Overview The ASM role is a key frontline sales leadership position responsible for delivering the annual operating plan for the assigned area. This role leads the Sales, Performance, and Trade (SPT) agenda on the ground—including distribution expansion, excellence in execution, and team capability building.

Key Responsibilities

1. Growth Planning & SPT Delivery

- Own and lead the growth agenda for the area by analysing internal and external data to identify hotspots, gaps, and opportunities.
- Create and execute structured SPT plans—distribution, visibility,



and in-store fundamentals—aligned with pet category priorities.
- Leverage trade marketing inputs (schemes, activations, sampling programs) with a strong ROI and growth mindset.

2. Business Partnering

- Build win-win partnerships with distributors, key retailers, modern trade outlets, and channel partners.
- Drive Joint Business Plans (JBPs) for sustainable, medium- to long-term growth.

3. Coaching & Skilling

- Coach and inspire the Sales Incharge (SI) team to achieve targets, improve store coverage, and elevate pet nutrition knowledge.
- Build team capability in SPT execution, beat planning, product training, and structured reporting.

4. Execution Excellence

- Ensure flawless execution of the growth plan, monthly activations, merchandising standards, and pilot initiatives across the area.
- Drive accurate stock planning, logistics coordination, and sales forecasting.
- Monitor competition activities and provide actionable insights.

Who are we looking for? Education: Post Graduate degree (MBA)

Experience:

- 4–5 years of experience as an ASM or equivalent in FMCG, Pet Food, Animal Nutrition, or allied sectors.
- Experience of leading a team and influencing senior leadership

Skills:

- Excellent interpersonal skills, including influencing, negotiation and communications skills to manage effective stakeholder relationships across teams; high on energy and driven.
- Proven track record of strong execution, systematic planning, commercial acumen and critical thinking.
- Ability to analyze data, derive insights, and convert them into action.
