About The Client:

- Application Security (AppSec) role focused on security testing, vulnerability validation, and secure development lifecycle support.
- Responsible for performing security assessments across web applications, APIs, and software components throughout the SDLC.

Essential Job Functions:

- Perform Static Application Security Testing (SAST), Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST), and Software Composition Analysis (SCA) using approved security tools.
- Validate vulnerabilities identified by automated scanners and eliminate false positives.
- Understand and assess common web application vulnerabilities based on the OWASP Top 10.
- Review security findings and provide remediation recommendations to development teams.
- Support secure code review activities under the guidance of senior Application Security engineers.
- Assist in API security assessments and validation activities.
- Participate in vulnerability management processes by tracking findings through to closure.
- Perform basic threat modeling and security design review activities.
- Support application security testing throughout the Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Prepare security assessment reports and maintain supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with development teams to validate remediation and risk mitigation efforts.

Qualifications:

Required Technical Skills

- Good understanding of Static Application Security Testing (SAST).
- Good understanding of Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST).
- Good understanding of Software Composition Analysis (SCA).
- Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and remediation practices.
- Understanding of Secure Software Development Lifecycle (Secure SDLC).
- Knowledge of HTTP/HTTPS protocols.
- Understanding of REST APIs and API security concepts.




- Basic knowledge of Authentication and Authorization mechanisms.
- Familiarity with OAuth, JWT, and SAML authentication frameworks.
- Experience reviewing vulnerability scanner reports and validating findings.
- Understanding of vulnerability management and remediation workflows.
- Awareness of CI/CD security practices and DevSecOps concepts.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and risk assessment skills.
- Ability to communicate security findings effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience creating security documentation, reports, and assessment artifacts.
