– Azure & PostgreSQL Support Engineer

Location: Mumbai, Chennai, Pune

Experience: 6–8 Years

Shift: Rotational Shifts

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Azure & PostgreSQL Support Engineer to manage cloud-based solutions and database systems while ensuring high availability, performance, and service excellence. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise along with a service-oriented mindset aligned with ITIL practices.

Primary Skills

- Microsoft Azure – Deployment, monitoring, and management of Azure services, VMs, networking, storage, and monitoring tools.
- PostgreSQL – Installation, configuration, administration, performance tuning, backup & recovery, troubleshooting, and SQL optimization.

Secondary Skills

- Service Management – Incident, Problem, and Change Management.




- ITIL – Understanding of ITIL processes and best practices in production support environments.

Other Requirements

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts / 24x7 support environment.
- Positive attitude and robust team collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and support Azure cloud infrastructure and PostgreSQL databases.
- Monitor system health, performance, and availability.
- Handle incidents, service requests, and escalations efficiently.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
- Ensure adherence to ITIL service management processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for issue resolution and deployments.

Nice to Have

- Azure Certifications (AZ-900, AZ-104, etc.).
- PostgreSQL replication and advanced database tuning experience.
- Automation/Scripting using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
