As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by proactively identifying and resolving issues across various components of essential business systems. This role requires a agile approach to troubleshooting, ensuring the smooth operation of critical applications and supporting business continuity. The position demands continuous monitoring, analysis, and collaboration with different teams to maintain system stability and performance, while adapting to evolving technical challenges in a fast-paced environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts to streamline issue resolution and improve system reliability.
- Mentor junior team members to enhance their technical skills and problem-solving capabilities.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and system updates.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Red Hat OpenShift.
- Experience with container orchestration and management within enterprise environments.
- Strong knowledge of cloud-native application deployment and lifecycle management.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues involving multiple integrated components.
- Familiarity with automation tools and scripting to optimize operational workflows.
- Understanding of infrastructure as code and continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines.
Additional Information
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Red Hat OpenShift.
