Role Description The API Consultant Trainee role is a full-time remote position focused on learning and supporting API integrations for TripBook Holidays’ travel platform. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in setting up and testing connections between internal systems and external travel services, documenting integration steps, and helping troubleshoot basic API-related issues under the guidance of senior team members. The trainee will collaborate with developers and product teams to understand business requirements and translate them into clear technical tasks.

The role also involves learning industry standards,



participating in training sessions, and gradually taking on more complex integration activities as skills grow.

Qualifications

- Foundational understanding of APIs, web services (REST/JSON), and HTTP concepts, with an interest in integration and travel technology.
- Basic technical skills such as reading documentation, using API testing tools (e.g., Postman), and working with spreadsheets or easy databases.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail in testing, documentation, and data validation.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders in a remote environment.
- Ability to learn quickly, follow structured training, and work independently while meeting deadlines in a distributed team.
- Relevant educational background in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Interest in the travel industry and familiarity with online travel platforms is advantageous.
