KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Conduct high-quality equity and investment research for global buy-side and sell-side clients across sectors and geographies.

- Build and maintain detailed financial models, including historical analysis, forecasting, scenario/sensitivity analysis, and valuation using DCF, relative valuation and other relevant methodologies.

- Analyze company fundamentals, industry dynamics, competitive positioning and key business drivers to develop well-supported investment views and recommendations.

- Support buy-side research and idea generation, including stock screening, investment thesis development, catalyst identification, risk assessment, portfolio monitoring and preparation of investment notes/memos.

- Support sell-side research, including company/sector coverage, earnings analysis, result updates, initiation reports, thematic research and preparation of investor-facing research material.

- Develop and articulate differentiated views on company, sector, macroeconomic and market developments, with a focus on their investment implications.

- Demonstrate strong understanding of financial statements, accounting concepts, corporate finance, valuation methodologies and capital markets.

- Produce clear, concise and insightful research reports, investment notes and presentations, translating complex analysis into actionable investment insights.

- Leverage AI/LLM tools and other research technologies to improve research productivity, data analysis and content generation, while ensuring appropriate validation, accuracy and quality control.



Communicate research findings and investment views clearly and confidently with internal stakeholders and clients, and independently manage assigned research deliverables.

Functional Requirements

- CA, CFA (or CFA candidate), MBA Finance, or equivalent qualification.

- 1-4 years of relevant experience in equity research, investment research, asset management, institutional sell-side research, valuation or related financial research roles.

- Strong hands-on experience in financial modelling, forecasting, financial statement analysis and company valuation.

- Exposure to buy-side investment analysis and/or institutional sell-side research;

experience across multiple sectors or geographies would be an advantage.

- Solid analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to connect multiple data points, challenge assumptions and draw investment-relevant conclusions.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing research reports and investment presentations.

- Familiarity with financial databases such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, FactSet, LSEG/Refinitiv or similar platforms would be advantageous.

- Familiarity with AI/LLM tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or equivalent) and their application in investment research is preferred. Exposure to Python, SQL, VBA or other analytical/automation languages would be an added advantage.

- Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments and deliver accurate, high-quality research within defined timelines.
